LA Gentlemates are nearing the signing of their new roster featuring a previous World Champion and a former rookie of the year.

Gentlemates joined the CDL landscape in December last year and fielded a originally made up of Kismet, Lynz, Skyz and Priestahh this roster chopped and changed throughout the year with the organisation ending the season at EWC with a roster of oJohnny, Lunarz, Kismet and Diamondcon.

This was the final tournament for this roster under the LAG banner whilst a month prior to EWC the organisation also let go of long time CDL Coaches Dreal & MarkyB, these moves usher in a new era for the team as they look to improve on a dismal 11th place finish in the regular season and a 9th-12th exit at the Esports World Cup.

So that leaves LA Gentlemates with a clean slate to bring in a new roster, starting with confirmed moves for assistant coach Mayhem and new head coach Veohz in late July and since then there was little to no information on where the organisation would be playing their cards for next year.

However over the last 24 hours per RonnieinteL LAG’s expected new roster will be Ghosty, Neptune, Sib and Envoy the ambitious roster move comes after an off-season of rumours swirling about the future of now former LA Thieves stars Ghosty and Envoy.

The Thieves duo weren’t expected to move on from the LA based organisation as the team placed consistently well right up until the end, Ghosty who ranked 20th in overall K/D this season and Envoy who ranked 35th were considered players that were able to facilitate the way fellow teammates Scrap and Hydra were playing.

To add to the Thieves duo Gentlemates recruited former rookie of the year Sib from C9 New York who after a storming debut season has not been able to get back to the level he entered the league at, unfortunately he was the only remainder of the CDL Champs final NY Subliners team.

This left the 23 year old on a seemingly lacklustre roster to begin Bo6 and it didn’t improve throughout the season as multiple roster moves led to the team achieving only a 10th place regular season ranking and a highest finish of 5th-6th at Major 2.

Last but not least and possibly the biggest wildcard of this roster is Neptune breaking onto the scene during the CW season with the Florida Mutineers (since rebranded to Miami Heretics) and spending time with NYSL and LAG before being dropped from a league spot entirely.

Spending time across various Challengers team over the couple of seasons since Nep ended up on OmiT Brooklyn and began to dominate so much so that Vancouver Surge dropped Hicksy after a disappointing last place finish at Major 1 and picked him up.

Surge were unplayable at times combining with fellow free agents 04, Abuzah and Nastie he was able to really push the narrative into his favour ranking 19th in overall K/D Surge were able to register 4 second place finishes during the rest of the season including a Champs final appearance.

The expectations for this roster will be high and there is still a point to prove for a couple of these players so expect them to push the standing order and have teams like Toronto KOI and Vancouver Surge nervously looking over their shoulders.
