Cleveland Cavaliers
Not the most surprising leader of the division but was definitely a surprise to see them at the top of the conference by 3 wins a very exciting team to watch and very fun to see in the 24-25 season even if playoff disappointment faced them once more.
This backcourt is one of the most exciting in the league the duo of Darius Garland and Donovon Mitchell is a very fun pairing of players to watch Garland has been one of the most consistent players in the league and has been one of the main reasons we saw the Cavs at the top of the division with his shooting efficiency being better.
Donovan Mitchell has been fun to watch for a long time and really fits well with this Cavs team around him not only is he one of the best shooting guards in the league but one of the most fun players in terms of aggressive plays and making clutch shots they have a real shot to get into the conference finals this year once again however it will be based on how consistently these two perform.
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers had a magical run with a heart breaking ending for both the team and Tyrese Haliburton it is fair to say they may be able to make a similar run this season but once again it’ll be up to the whole team the loss of Myles Turner is bound to be felt over 82 games.
One of the most exciting players in their roster is Bennedict Mathurin who has been great for the past 3 years with last year helping the team to the finals defensively solid, good team player and tremendous basketball IQ makes him a real threat.
He has the potential to be an elite guard in the league and the Pacers have the chance to start a dynasty if they stay fit and keep it going next year with the aim of running it back and just taking that final step.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks have been on a very rocky road since their Finals win in 2021, trading for Damian Lillard managed to get rid of their defensive structure and the team fell victim to consistent injury troubles the experiment has ended as of the start of this season with Lillard returning to Portland and Myles Turner joining Milwaukee.
However they seem to have built back some defense around Giannis and one of my favourite additions is Myles Turner who has brilliant defensive statistics and his PPG is nothing to turn your nose at either, he will be brilliant and exciting for the Bucks this coming season.
The Bucks will need Myles to carry his form into the new season to get back to where the team have been consistently over the last 10 years or so, quality performances out of Kyle Kuzma and Cole Anthony will also be keys to help get to a second level for this Bucks team.
Detroit Pistons
The Pistons had their first spark of something working last season the experiment over the last few years has seen limited success and alot of disappointment a key part of that effort to grow is Cade Cunningham who has proved that he can be a top 5 Point Guard in the league whilst the rest of the team are making strides of improvement with their young core.
I think other than Cade, one of the most exciting prospects is 23 year old Jaden Ivey putting up consistent numbers with slight improvements on already good efficiency and defensive skills, I think Ivey with the good young core and sprinkle of experienced players will thrive this season as well as the Pistons making it to the Playoffs again.
Chicago Bulls
I can not imagine it has been a fun few years for Bulls fans with team failures and constant injury problems I can't say this team looks too positive this year either but if we dig deep there are some positives.
20 year old Matas Buzelis looks like a potentially good player for the Bulls, In his first NBA season averaging 9 PPG with solid scoring efficiency and looking good off the ball too paired with his defensive record which was good for a rookie too and if he can make the jump in the next year or two it could be something really good for the Bulls.
